i hate fucking DNA sequencers. technology sucks.

i'm sure that in about 50 years or so, you'll be able to drop in a skin cell or two into a tube, and thirty seconds later you'll be looking at the stretch of DNA on a print out, mumbling to yourself "gee, this DNA looks very unique". fuck, they already do it on TV.

but right now, it sucks. and its improved every year that i've been involved in this field... there are more shortcuts, quicker machines that do more samples at a time, while whistling your favorite tune. but these fucking machines are still basically like your average coffee maker or toaster. it fucks up when you want it to the least. it sucks, and i'm here at 12:30 (yes, thats just after midnight folks) STILL HERE AT WORK, event though i know i have to be back here in about 8 hours time.

i fucking hate this job sometimes. babysitting a fucking toaster.
